New Sponsor

Im delighted to announce that I will now be running Thunder Power Motors and Thunder Power chargers.  I have tested the Thunder Power a great deal at Ardent Raceway and outdoor at Cotswold and it is very good with good speed and very respectable running temperatures too say how much we are pushing 10.5 motors this season at our nationals.

I will also be running the modified motors at the world championships in a few months time.

Cotswold National....And How not to do it

Well, I was going into Cotswold national feeling pretty good.  Pre event testing and the BTCC went really well and I got the car to be on pretty good pace and easily capable of top five to seven.  The top 3 were a little faster but I never ran fresh tyres in pre event testing or had "omg thats fast" horsepower, but i was feeling a respectable top 10 in qualifying.

This didn't happen, and it was all my own fault.  All weekend I just didn't focus on what I should be doing.  I went out with parts loose, shocks not secured on, Body shell catching etc.  Basically I was a complete retard, and I have no explanation for it.  I also didn't have much luck either.

I have already moved on from this event, and Im remembering the popular phrase 'Perfect Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.

Il be back for the WLRC BTCC stronger than ever before :-), No more silly mistakes and crap driving

Wow it has been a long time since I posted on here!

This year so far has been really positive.  Iv'e had some solid results and gained a truck load of experience at the ETS races, I encourage anyone to race abroad as it really does benefit your driving and knowledge.

Now its national time in the UK and running 10.5.  At first I was a little annoyed about running 10.5 with timing, as I feel its completely pointless as the speed isn't much slower than modified, its just annoying having to test loads of ESC settings and gearing and have to worry about temperature all the time.  But it isn't that bad....but it is still a useless class compared to modified that the entire world race, it is completely different to drive in terms of feel and it in no way shape or form, benefits me for when I go abroad to compete in modified.  However, this is what we have for this year, so no more moaning and time to get on with it =).

The car so far at Cotswolds testing as been really good,  My only change from normal is a prototype 2mm narrow chassis that seems to give the car more traction on our greener tracks compared to abroad.  Horse power is also good now after A LOT of testing.  The new Hpi Flux Pro ESC is also very good, very adjustable and very smooth to drive.

Im going into this weekend very confident, I know the car is capable and we have the horsepower, so the whole of Team HB should be very strong indeed :)

I have a few final ideas to test in morning practice on the saturday which will hopefully improve lap time even more.  I just hope it does not rain :-)
